COOPAFSI is a Fair Trade-certified coffee cooperative in northern Peru, with "Las Damas de San Ignacio" as a specific coffee-producing area. Coffee farms in this region have a unique flavor profile due to high altitude and specific climate and soil conditions. The COOPAFSI cooperative represents a network of small-scale farmers and produces a blend of beans from various varietals, including Typica, Bourbon, and Caturra. They may also grow other rust-resistant varietals and focus on promoting sustainable agriculture practices and improving coffee quality, resulting in award-winning coffee.
